Allura Partners turns 2

Two years ago today, Allura Partners was launched and shortly thereafter we welcomed our first appointment, Andrew Smith. Two years on and we have not looked back!

Our company, culture and reputation has grown exponentially and over the past 24 months, we have:

  • Continued to strengthen our C-suite private equity executive search offering and can boast some of the most prestigious CEO, COO & CFO portfolio company appointments across Australia and New Zealand

  • Built one of the strongest accounting & finance teams in the market offering permanent and contract/temp recruitment services to commerce, industry and financial services

  • Continued to strengthen our insurance offering

  • Launched a projects & change division backed by market leading projects & change recruiters

  • Partnered with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation; a charitable organisation dedicated to closing the indigenous literacy gap

  • Built a culture that is underpinned by collaboration, empowerment, professionalism and fun

FY18 was an amazing year for the business, increasing all financial metrics and FY19 is on track to be even better.

There is no doubt that these achievements are down to the calibre of the recruiters who have come on board. Next month we will welcome another senior hire, John O’Donnell; taking our headcount to 10!

In the competitive world of recruitment; experienced, high calibre recruiters are highly sought-after. As part of our reflection we asked our team why they joined Allura Partners and what they like about working here. Many had similar responses:

  • Team, culture and operating model – majority of the team have significant tenure within the recruitment industry

  • Professional, expert billing managers and leadership team

  • Flexible working model

  • Everyone is contributing to building our business and brand

  • Commission structure

  • Access to the leadership team – being mentored by leaders who are recruiting daily

  • Stability – there is no turnover of consultants

  • Career potential – opportunity to progress within the business

It is interesting that not one team member mentioned our incentives; a perk that is a cherry on top of our culture, operating model and success to date!

Like most recruitment firms, we like to reward our staff. That said, rather than just rewarding the highest achievers, we have created an inclusive culture that rewards all staff. To date we have taken all staff on a seaplane to Jonah’s, helicopter to the Hunter Valley for lunch at Bistro Molines and to the GABBA for an Ashes test to name a few.

In addition to sharing success with our staff, at Allura Partners we recognise the importance of our partners. At the end of our first financial year, we invited all staff and their respected partner to a private suite at Royal Randwick to enjoy a day at the races and to say thanks for their support and putting up with us.

Thanks to Team Allura for working hard, having fun and contributing to our success. Also thanks to our loyal clients and candidates for your ongoing support.

Below are a few photos of us celebrating our wins and having fun.

Bring on year 3!
