Allura Partners is proud to announce the appointment of Shaun Ruming, former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of McDonalds Australia, as the new COO of Guardian Early Learning Group (Guardian); a Partners Group investment.

Partners Group is a global private markets investment manager that in 2016, acquired a controlling stake in Guardian, one of the largest childcare groups and providers of early childhood education in Australia.

Allura Partners was engaged by Partners Group to conduct an executive search for the newly created COO role to support the achievement of Guardian’s growth strategy. The COO is responsible for overseeing and further developing the operating platform that supports the network of centres as they continue to grow, whilst driving current centre performance.

Shaun, who was appointed earlier this month, boasts a 30-year career with McDonalds, culminating as the COO for Australia. His unique blend of experience covering operations, HR, strategy, change management and training combined with his track record of results and achievements meant he was a stand-out in the process. His passion for the childcare industry was a bonus and will no doubt ensure his smooth transition into the culture at Guardian and his success in the role.

Congratulations Shaun and good luck in your new role.
