The Growth Fund appoints CFO for M&J Chickens

A recent theme Allura Partners has been the bringing together of relationships, highlighted recently in our insight on the appointment of Tom Davey as the CEO of GoGet.

As an executive search firm, we undertake extensive methods to source top talent for our clients on all our engagements. Successful candidates come from a variety of sources, but it is most satisfying when the successful candidate is an individual that we have known and worked with for years.

The Allura Partners leadership team has known Peter Tang for 13 years in various capacities – as a client, a trusted individual when it came to referrals and most recently as a candidate. We are now delighted to say as a successful appointment! Peter has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of M&J Chickens, a recent acquisition of The Growth Fund portfolio.

With a desire to explore roles outside of Mars, take on the number one seat in finance and ideally work for a private equity backed investment, Peter reached out to Allura Partners as he embarked on his search.

Having a trusted and long-standing relationship delivering searches for The Growth Fund, when the need for a CFO role presented for M&J Chickens, it was clear that Peter was an exceptionally strong fit for the brief.

Peter’s enthusiasm, drive and passion for business and his strong background in commercial finance within the food sector ensured his success in the process. His personality is infectious and in a high growth, ever changing environment a great attitude and a leader that leads from the front is imperative.

Congratulations Peter and best of luck with the new role. I look forward to keeping up to speed on all the successes of both yourself and M&J Chickens. No doubt you will smash it out of the park!

“Andrew is a great operator. He understands the needs of his clients very well and carefully matches them with the skills and needs of each candidate.

Andrew was able to help me find my next CFO opportunity in Private Equity. He had a very good understanding of my experiences, strengths and more importantly what I was looking for in my next role. It was also very clear he understood the needs of his clients as we instantly made a connection in our first meeting. He was able to manage the process efficiently and effectively and as they say the rest is history.

What I love about Andrew is his attentiveness in replying to correspondence whether it be an email or phone call. I find this to be rare in this industry. I would highly recommend Andrew to any future clients looking for the right person to join their organisation or any candidate looking for their next opportunity.”
